Senior Tax Associate

About the role

Range is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to serve as the communication hub of its tax office, linking clients and preparers. You will answer tax questions, gather documentation, and ensure accurate, timely filing of individual tax returns.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for client inquiries about individual tax returns, filing status, deductions, credits, and refunds.
• Contact clients to request missing or additional documentation needed to complete returns.
• Create process flows and monitor tax return milestones with external tax‑preparation partners.
• Manage client files, organize workpapers and lead sheets.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years of experience in tax compliance, tax preparation, or a similar role.
• Knowledge of complex individual tax situations such as foreign income, FBAR, partnership K‑1s, state tax credits, and real‑estate reporting.
• Strong time‑management skills to prioritize multiple clients and meet filing deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with LaCerte tax software.
• Proficiency with Proconnect tax software.
• Competence in Google Workspace.
