Senior Tax Associate

About the role

Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join its dynamic Tax team at the Seattle headquarters. You will support tax compliance, planning, and financial reporting for both Real Estate Investment Trusts and a large manufacturing C‑corporation, while gaining exposure to the full spectrum of the company’s financial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file U.S. federal and state income tax returns.
• Calculate tax projections and support quarterly and year‑end tax provision efforts.
• Assist with transfer pricing, tax research, and international tax projects.
• Provide audit support and respond to tax authority inquiries.
• Analyze tax issues, incorporate legislative changes, and prepare tax calculations for timber and timberland projects.
• Guide interns on tax assignments and collaborate across multiple team environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s in Tax preferred).
• 2‑4 years of combined experience in public accounting and/or a multinational corporation with a focus on corporate income tax.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Strong judgment, accountability, and ability to work with urgency.
