Senior Tax Analyst

About the role

Alignment Health is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join its finance organization. The role is pivotal in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely execution of federal, state, and local tax obligations for a fast‑growing Medicare Advantage insurer.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end preparation and review of all tax filings, including income, franchise, and insurance premium returns.
• Maintain the tax compliance calendar, meeting all payment, extension, and filing deadlines.
• Prepare and review quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740, managing deferred tax calculations and disclosures.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for tax notices, audits, and regulatory inquiries, drafting timely and technically sound responses.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors, providing required documentation and analysis.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate tax compliance and provision work.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740 accounting standards.
• Familiarity with multi‑jurisdictional tax filings, especially within the healthcare sector.
• Proven ability to manage audit defense and interact with tax authorities.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
