Vice President, Controller & Finance

About the role

Mantle Reach Power, an independent geothermal power producer, is looking for a Vice President, Controller & Finance to lead and scale its finance function. This senior position will own all traditional finance activities while supporting project finance, M&A, and risk management across a fast‑growing renewable energy portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Build and own accounting, treasury, budgeting, FP&A, and reporting processes.
• Ensure accurate, GAAP‑compliant monthly, quarterly, and annual closes for all entities and partnerships.
• Design and run quarterly and annual budgeting cycles, budget‑to‑actual reporting, and treasury forecasts.
• Establish internal controls, oversee annual audits, and manage tax planning across jurisdictions.
• Administer the company’s insurance program and support draw requests, lender reporting, and cost tracking for drilling and construction.
• Assist M&A and other financial transactions, identify and mitigate financial, operational, and regulatory risks.
• Evaluate, implement, and optimize ERP, BI, and other financial systems to automate and scale the function.
• Develop scalable accounts payable, purchase order, and future accounts receivable processes.
• Manage outsourced accounting and financial service partners.

Required profile

• 10+ years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in renewables with partnership and tax‑equity accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA or CFA designation required.
• Experience in high‑growth, fast‑paced environments.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
