Senior Systems Engineer (MBSE)

About the role

CACI is looking for an accomplished, senior-level Systems Engineer who acts as a subject matter expert on RF systems. The engineer works with technical subject matter experts on development teams to deliver mission-critical solutions for the customer. The position is full time, regular, requires TS/SCI clearance to start, and involves up to 10% travel within continental USA.

Key responsibilities

• Help define client requirements for RF solutions, allocate system requirements and derive requirements so the system architecture is fully defined, understood and compliant with mission needs.
• Interface with RF systems engineers, antenna designers, transceiver designers, signal processing architects and mechanical packaging engineers.
• Work with clients in long-lead and tactical capacities, solving critical needs through analysis, modeling, design and testing with tools such as MATLAB, Systems Toolkit and GRASP.
• Define total systems design and technology maturity constraints, system element architecture and design, interface definitions, implementation approaches and operational concepts.
• Develop models and architectural guidelines, give technical direction on implementing system architecture and recommend to executive program and engineering leaders.

Required profile

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related major.
• 10+ years of experience leading, designing and developing RF solutions.
• Demonstrated thought leadership in defining innovative, cost-effective design solutions.
• Experience leading RF systems design and collaborating with cross-functional, geographically dispersed hardware and software teams.

Required skills

• RF systems requirements analysis, system architecture design and signals decomposition.
• Experience with MATLAB or equivalent modeling tools.
• Desired: MBSE tools such as CameoEA, DOORS and Rhapsody, mentoring junior engineers and briefing program and customer executives.
