Senior Systems Engineer – Digital Ecosystems & Cloud Architecture

About the role

APEX TK seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to provide digital ecosystem, cloud architecture, and model‑based systems engineering expertise for the Missile Defense Agency Chief Digital Officer mission. You will lead integration of software, models, simulations, AI tools, and operational capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement secure API‑based integrations, data exchange architectures, and AI‑enabled digital ecosystems.
• Develop integration architectures linking APIs, data services, semantic layers, knowledge graphs, and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Build AI‑ready data pipelines, integrate Large Language Models and agentic AI frameworks, and create enterprise dashboards and common operational pictures.
• Support MBSE activities using SysML, activity and block diagrams, and define common data models and integration standards.
• Enable tactical interoperability (e.g., Link 16) and support DevSecOps pipelines and cloud‑native deployments.

Required profile

• MS in a STEM field with 12+ years of experience in software integration, systems engineering, or enterprise architecture.
• Active or interim Secret clearance.
• Proven ability to combine API integration, cloud architecture, MBSE, dashboard development, DevSecOps, and digital engineering.
