Senior Systems Administrator (Active Directory)

About the role

CACI is hiring a Senior Systems Administrator (Active Directory) to support the modernization and operations of the Distributed Ground System (DGS) at Langley AFB in Hampton, Virginia. The role sits in a highly technical, mission-driven environment and requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance. It is a regular, full-time position with up to 10% travel within the continental US.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and operate a virtualized data center using VMware and Dell/EMC server and storage technologies.
• Install, support and maintain servers, including performance tuning, system-wide configuration and storage allocation.
• Protect system integrity, confidentiality and availability through patch management, antivirus oversight and data backup and restoration.
• Diagnose and resolve service outages, technical inquiries and system issues.
• Analyze systems, implement updates and perform routine health checks across processes, services, networks and storage.
• Update documentation, support configuration management and partner with the security team on upgrades, compliance and security initiatives.
• Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 support personnel.

Required profile

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience in its place.
• At least 5 years of relevant IT or system administration experience.
• Security+ certification.

Required skills

• Experience with one or more of: Microsoft Server 2019, Microsoft Windows 11, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS or VMware.
