Cyber Monitoring Analyst

About the role

CACI is recruiting a Cyber Monitoring Analyst for a client's Cyber Security Incident Response Team supporting the AF DCGS program, based onsite at Langley AFB, Virginia. The role sits in a high-tempo, shift-based 24/7 monitoring environment (swings Wed-Sat, 1600-0200) and requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance. It calls for intermediate skills in Windows, Linux and cloud environments, with a background in system administration or security monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and system logs to spot threats and anomalies on the OA DCGS weapon system, protecting its confidentiality, integrity and availability.
• Use the ELK/Elastic Stack to analyse logs in real time, run dashboards and keep incident records.
• Escalate and document events through ticketing systems to cyber analyst tiers T1-T3 and external stakeholders.
• Follow SOPs and incident response playbooks, and keep detailed case notes for post-incident reviews.
• Review SIEM alerts and dashboards for indicators of compromise, and follow threat intelligence feeds for Zero-Day vulnerabilities and CVEs.
• Work with incident response, threat hunting and vulnerability management teams, and support penetration testing evaluations.

Required profile

• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in IT Technology, Computer Science or a related field with 5 years of cyber operations or monitoring experience (equivalent experience may substitute).
• DOD 8140 (8570) IAT Level II (Security+ or equivalent).
• Deep understanding of the incident response lifecycle, detection and escalation phases.
• Ability to work independently in a shift-based 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
• Familiarity with SIEMs and cyber monitoring tools
• Desired: experience with AF DCGS or similar military ISR platforms, AWS or other cloud security platforms
