Senior Solution Engineer (Pre-Sales) - Identity Security

About the role

SailPoint, an AI-driven security platform focused on identity governance, is looking for a Senior Solution Consultant (pre-sales Solution Engineer) to support the US sales regions for commercial accounts. You will partner with the sales teams by combining technical ability and business acumen to help SailPoint grow.

Key responsibilities

• Take part actively in the sales process and work closely with direct and channel sales teams
• Understand customer requirements and align SailPoint's solutions to them
• Present SailPoint's business functions, value and competitive advantages
• Deliver product demonstrations to prospective customers
• Help write RFP responses with the RFP response team
• Take part in onsite and remote Proof of Value (POV) evaluations
• Give feedback to Product Management on product improvements

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience as a pre-sales technical resource in an enterprise software company (B2B)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Preferred: 3+ years working with Identity, Governance and Access Management solutions
• Preferred: BA/BS degree or global equivalent
• Preferred residence in the US (Chicago, Mountain Standard Time or Pacific Standard Time); about 25% travel expected

Required skills

• Working knowledge of web services, application servers, databases, virtualization and directories
• Conversant with modern SaaS architecture
• Desirable: Java, XML, LDAP, SQL, JSON, Azure/AWS/GCP

• Estimated base salary for US-based employees of $73,080 - $123,156.60, depending on location and experience
