Advisory Solution Consultant - Enterprise (Pre-Sales)

About the role

SailPoint, an AI-driven security platform, is looking for an Advisory Solution Consultant (pre-sales Solution Engineer) to support the US West sales regions for Enterprise accounts. The consultant partners with sales teams using technical ability and business acumen. The role is based in Chicago, IL, with about 25% travel expected, mainly in the western US.

Key responsibilities

• Take part actively in the sales process and work with direct and channel sales teams
• Understand customer requirements and align SailPoint solutions to them
• Present SailPoint's business functions, value and competitive differences
• Deliver product demonstrations to prospective customers
• Help develop RFP responses with the RFP response team
• Take part in onsite and remote Proof of Value (POV) evaluations
• Give feedback to Product Management on product enhancements

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience as a pre-sales technical resource in an enterprise software company (B2B)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Preferred: 3+ years working with Identity, Governance and Access Management solutions
• Preferred: BA/BS or global equivalent, 8 years of related experience

Required skills

• Working knowledge of technical infrastructure: web services, application servers, databases, virtualization and directories
• Familiarity with modern SaaS architecture
• Desirable: Java, XML, LDAP, SQL, JSON, Azure/AWS/GCP
