Senior Software Engineers

About the role

Farther is a rapidly growing RIA combining expert advisors with technology to deliver a tailored wealth management experience. It is hiring multiple Senior Software Engineers in a hybrid setting in New York. Engineers have real autonomy and ownership, make technical decisions and own outcomes, and are expected to use AI tools throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver features end-to-end, from business requirements to production deployment
• Work across the full stack: build UIs, design APIs and architect backend services
• Use AI tools to ship faster and accelerate every part of the workflow
• Solve difficult problems such as production issues, complex debugging and unfamiliar codebases
• Make autonomous technical decisions and contribute to architecture and engineering best practices
• Collaborate directly with product, design and business stakeholders

Required profile

• 6+ years of full-stack software engineering experience
• Fluent with AI coding tools, already using them to increase output
• Self-directed, autonomous and product-focused, preferring results over rigid process
• Clear communicator and builder who ships working software
• Bonus points: financial services, trading systems or wealth management experience; high-availability and real-time data processing; event-driven architectures; knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
