Senior Software Engineer - Real Time Product Engineering

About the role

LSEG's St. Louis engineering team is looking for a collaborative, motivated Senior Software Engineer to join its Tools Team. You will work closely with internal development groups, business analysts and quality engineers on the tools and utilities that let teams deliver high-quality software, and help shape financial systems used across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and improve tools that help internal teams work more effectively.
• Collaborate with colleagues who have different priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Participate in and lead code reviews to support consistent engineering standards.
• Help usher LSEG toward full DevOps adoption.
• Develop scalable, future-focused solutions in partnership with the architecture team.
• Work across multiple computer stacks and technologies, and develop a strong understanding of the financial domain to support partner teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with multiple programming languages (e.g. C#, C++) and validated knowledge of data structures, algorithms and design patterns.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git, DX1).
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum and DevOps practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with databases and SQL.
• Preferred: scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
• Preferred: cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud), Docker, Kubernetes, automated testing frameworks, and familiarity with AI tools and prompt engineering.
