Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Range is building an AI‑powered wealth‑management platform that unifies investments, taxes, retirement, and estate planning. As a Senior Software Engineer you will own end‑to‑end features, ship production code quickly, and help define how engineering works with AI.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate full‑stack production systems on AWS, handling everything from frontend UI to backend services and infrastructure.
• Leverage AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) to accelerate coding, debugging, and iteration while maintaining high quality.
• Define technical direction, architecture decisions, tooling, and engineering standards for the team.
• Collaborate openly with product, design, and stakeholders to turn loosely defined problems into well‑scoped solutions.

Required profile

• A builder who moves from problem to prototype to production without waiting for perfectly scoped tickets.
• Craft‑obsessed with high standards for clean, secure, and maintainable code.
• Intuition‑driven, able to make rapid architectural decisions and evaluate trade‑offs.
• AI‑native, using AI daily as core infrastructure to amplify productivity.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python.
• Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch).
• Full‑stack proficiency with React, Node.js, and related tooling.
• Proven ability to use AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor) effectively.
