Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Ontrac Solutions is looking for experienced Senior Software Engineers to join a contractor program supporting a healthcare and pharmacy benefit management (PBM) customer. The team will build REST API integrations with a Databricks data platform, handling clinical and pharmacy data using industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement REST API integrations between the customer, partner systems, and Databricks.
• Ingest and transform HL7 messages and CDA/C‑CDA documents into Databricks, orchestrated via Azure Data Factory.
• Develop integration services in Python and C#/.NET targeting Databricks and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Collaborate with the Lead Software Engineer and delivery team, contributing to technical design and ensuring code meets the customer’s standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering software in the healthcare industry, preferably PBM.
• Hands‑on experience with REST APIs, system‑to‑system integrations, and Databricks pipelines.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as HL7 and CDA/C‑CDA.
• Experience building data movement and orchestration using Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
