Software Engineer – 3DCS Platform

About the role

The Software Engineer designs, develops, and maintains functionality within the 3DCS software platform. The role delivers new features, enhancements, and corrective maintenance with high standards of quality, performance, usability, and maintainability.

Key responsibilities

• Translate functional requirements into technical solutions and contribute to functional analysis with Product Management.
• Design, develop, and test C++ code for the engine, GUI, and tooling layers across multiple product components.
• Prepare technical specifications, estimate effort, and commit to agreed scope.
• Maintain code documentation, use version‑control, CI, and defect‑tracking tools, and report progress regularly.
• Define and execute test protocols, perform regression and numerical accuracy checks, and provide Level 3 support for customer issues.
• Mentor junior team members, participate in code reviews, and propose technical improvements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum three years of professional software development experience with C++ and object‑oriented design.
• Proficiency with version control, continuous integration, defect tracking and automated testing.
• Ability to work on several components of a long‑lived commercial code base and quickly learn an unfamiliar technical domain.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking.
