Senior Software Engineer – Full-Stack (PHP/Laravel/Vue)

About the role

Carefeed is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Chicago‑based engineering team. You will work on the core platforms that power the Family Portal, Administration Portal and Payments products, helping senior‑living communities across the US deliver better care.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust full‑stack applications using PHP, Laravel, Vue.js and TypeScript.
• Participate in rapid CI/CD pipelines, testing, reviewing and deploying code multiple times per day.
• Research and share new engineering techniques, improving system performance and reliability.
• Build internal tools and practices that boost team productivity.
• Own projects end‑to‑end, from performance enhancements to EHR integrations and UI component libraries.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong foundation in computer‑science fundamentals such as algorithmic complexity, asynchronicity and distributed computing.
• Solid understanding of software design, architecture and testing practices.
• Ability to analyze business problems and propose effective technical solutions.
