Senior Software Developer (Backend, Full Stack)

About the role

Leidos is seeking a Senior Software Developer-SME for a 200+ FTE technical development program supporting the Sponsor's web-based applications. The developer works with a large team of developers, DevOps, security, systems and data engineers, and is expected to be full stack but focused on technical backend work such as web services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop backend web services and web-based applications within a large team.
• After a one-year onboarding period, join a one-week on-call rotation to address system issues outside normal working hours.
• Work core hours of 9 AM to 3 PM, five days a week, with a 40-hour work week.

Required profile

• 6-10 years of demonstrable developer experience with a backend emphasis.
• BS degree and 8+ years of experience, or additional experience in lieu of a degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Required skills

• Strong Java programming skills and Java persistence API experience for complex database schemas.
• Java web services experience (JAX/WS).
• Linux command line.
• Agile workflows and processes.
• Spring Framework / Spring Boot.

Desired qualifications

• Cloud development (e.g., AWS) and Java integration with AWS services.
• Databases: Oracle, Oracle RDS.
• Vue.js, Bootstrap/Vuetify.
• Python, JavaScript, Bash, XML, JSON, YAML, SQL and PL/SQL.
• GitHub/Git, ELK stack, Jenkins, Puppet, Nagios, FIPI.

The pay range is $107,900 - $195,050, depending on experience, education, skills and other factors.
