Senior Site EHS Engineer

About the role

Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is seeking a Senior Site Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to lead and integrate EHS programs at its East Aurora, NY facility. The role focuses on hazard identification, risk analysis, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of safety processes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify hazards across operations and conduct risk assessments.
• Develop, modify, and audit EHS procedures and management systems.
• Create and deliver site‑specific EHS training programs.
• Interpret applicable EHS regulations and propose compliant process changes.
• Lead root‑cause investigations for incidents and near‑misses, and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain permit requirements, reporting data, and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Support emergency response activities and be on‑call for EHS emergencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, safety, chemical engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proven ability to interpret EHS data and implement effective solutions.
• Experience conducting gap assessments, training development, and regulatory liaison.
