About the role
Join a leading food manufacturer’s packaging maintenance team as a Maintenance Mechanic. You will work on a variety of machines, supporting both routine upkeep and larger overhauls on a 2nd or 3rd shift.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain machines including bearings, assembly/disassembly, power transmission, rigging, and lubrication.
- Perform bench work with common hand tools and assist upper‑class mechanics on electrical systems and major overhauls.
- Learn basic pipefitting of water, steam, and air lines using steel, plastic, and copper.
- Execute preventative maintenance, troubleshoot machine failures, and report potential issues.
- Prepare daily work sets with required tools and assist in material ordering and job layout planning.
Required profile
- High school diploma; trade‑school level training in electrical or mechanical fields.
- Food manufacturing experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
