Senior RN Clinical Research – Oncology

About the role

This senior RN position leads the planning, execution, and oversight of oncology clinical trials. The role ensures compliance with regulatory standards while providing high‑quality patient care and mentorship to junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, initiate, and manage all activities related to clinical trial conduct, including patient recruitment, informed consent, and investigational drug administration.
• Serve as an escalation point for junior staff, providing problem‑resolution support and mentoring.
• Coordinate special projects aimed at workflow optimization and SOP improvement.
• Enter and verify data in sponsor‑specific systems, resolve queries, and ensure data integrity.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Required profile

• Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor’s preferred); current RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including at least 3 years in clinical research or 4 years of relevant research experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to travel between facilities and work flexible schedules, including on‑call, weekends, and nights.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of ICH guidelines for ethical research conduct.
• Proficiency with Epic (Super‑User level) and other web‑based data entry applications.
• Familiarity with lean management principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication for presenting information to diverse stakeholders.
