Senior RFIC Layout Engineer

About the role

Falcomm develops high-performance, energy-efficient RF power amplifier technologies and is looking for a Senior RFIC Layout Engineer in Atlanta, GA. The role supports the physical implementation of RF and mmWave integrated circuits, developing high-quality IC layouts for RF front-end circuits while meeting foundry design rules and performance requirements. It involves close collaboration with RFIC designers, verification teams and fabrication partners to ensure successful tape-out and silicon performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement layouts for RF and analog integrated circuits, including amplifiers, mixers, oscillators and supporting RF blocks.
• Work with circuit designers to turn schematics into optimized physical layouts that meet performance and area requirements.
• Ensure layouts comply with foundry design rules and support design verification, including DRC, LVS and parasitic extraction.
• Optimize layouts for RF performance, signal integrity, matching and noise isolation.
• Support tape-out preparation and coordinate with fabrication partners during manufacturing.
• Collaborate with RF design, packaging and testing teams, and document layout methodologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in RFIC or analog IC layout design.
• Willingness to work full-time, onsite in Atlanta, GA.

Preferred skills

• Familiarity with advanced semiconductor processes such as SOI and GaN.
• Understanding of RF layout techniques including matching, shielding, guard rings and isolation structures.
• Experience supporting tape-out and post-silicon validation.
