Senior Research Coordinator

About the role

Avacare, a Site Management Organization (SMO) recruiting for its Clinical Research Coordinators, is hiring a Senior Research Coordinator for a fully on-site position in Lexington, Kentucky. The role gives CRCs broad exposure to diverse trials, complex protocols and key trial activities, from patient recruitment and informed consent to regulatory documentation and site audits.

Key responsibilities

• Manage 2 to 6 trials of varying complexity and lead study coordination from start to finish
• Perform clinical procedures and coordinate patient recruitment, informed consent and regulatory documentation
• Work closely with investigators, sponsors and monitors
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal training

Required profile

• Clinical Research Coordinator I: minimum 1-3 years in a clinical research setting at a clinical investigative site working with participants
• Clinical Research Coordinator II: minimum 3 years as a CRC at a clinical investigative site
• Solid understanding of site operations and the drug development process
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail and time management

Required skills

• Hands-on experience obtaining vital signs, performing phlebotomy, conducting ECGs and processing lab specimens
• Use of CTMS and eCRFs
• Microsoft Office tools

The potential base pay range, when annualized, is $44,300 to $110,500, depending on qualifications, location and schedule. Additional compensation may include incentive plans, bonuses and benefits.
