Senior Recruiter - G&A

About the role

Shield AI, a venture-backed defense-tech company, is hiring an experienced, strategic and consultative Senior Recruiter to lead hiring across its General and Administrative (G&A) organizations. The role covers high-complexity searches in Finance and Accounting, Legal, People, Enterprise Operations, Information Technology, Facilities and other corporate functions. It suits a seasoned recruiter who acts as both a hands-on talent partner and a trusted advisor to senior leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting for complex, senior-level roles across G&A functions
• Advise senior and executive leaders on workforce needs, candidate profiles and hiring strategy
• Lead intake and calibration sessions that turn business priorities into search and interview plans
• Use AI to accelerate market research, talent mapping, sourcing and personalized candidate engagement
• Build proactive pipelines across technology, aerospace, defense, manufacturing and adjacent industries
• Assess candidates consistently on expertise, leadership, motivation and organizational alignment
• Use AI, automation and recruiting data to spot trends, improve workflows and address pipeline risks
• Resolve bottlenecks, drive hiring with urgency and maintain stakeholder accountability
• Provide market intelligence, challenge requirements that limit hiring outcomes, and lead offer negotiations and closing
• Pilot emerging AI capabilities and mentor recruiters and sourcers on G&A hiring and AI-enabled workflows

Required profile

• 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting, including significant G&A or corporate function hiring
• Experience independently leading complex, senior-level searches from intake through offer acceptance
• Proven ability to advise senior executives and influence hiring decisions with data and market insight
• Strong analytical instincts and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Comfort with ambiguity, changing priorities and rapid growth
• Understanding of responsible AI practices, including privacy, confidentiality, bias mitigation and human oversight

Required skills

• Hands-on experience using AI, automation and recruiting technology to improve quality, speed and productivity
• Ability to turn practical AI use cases into scalable recruiting workflows
