Senior Python Developer (IoT Security)

About the role

Kudu Dynamics, a Leidos-owned company, is transitioning a state-of-the-art IoT security solution from the lab to multiple customers. This Senior Python Developer role sits at the intersection of helping end users, developing new features and coordinating with technical partners to integrate new datasets and technologies. The position can be based in Columbia, Maryland or Chantilly, Virginia.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain the deployed application.
• Onboard and manage new users.
• Search for and screen new data sources and technologies to meet program demands.
• Serve as primary point of contact for current and future data sources and technical partners.
• Set up technical exchange meetings and gather and catalogue data information.
• Understand security restrictions and access requirements.

Required profile

• US citizenship with TS/SCI and Counter-Intelligence Polygraph clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or a related field, or 10 years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least four years of experience in a Python development role.
• Self-starter requiring minimal supervision, intelligent, proactive and driven to achieve results.

• GitLab CI/CD
• PostgreSQL or similar database administration
• RESTful APIs and Angular-based web UIs
• Networking protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTPS, TLS) and Linux system administration

Pay range: $131,300 - $237,350.
