Senior Program Manager, Trucking
waabi · San Francisco
Job description
About the role
Waabi, a Physical AI company behind commercial autonomous trucks and robotaxis, is hiring a Senior Program Manager for its Commercial Product team in San Francisco. The role integrates the milestones of autonomy, operations, business development and customers into a single commercialization plan, tracking dependencies and risks so that the team can say, within a year, whether a launch, truck delivery or customer commitment is on track.
Key responsibilities
- Own the integrated commercialization roadmap for trucking and the weekly operating cadence around it, linking customer commitments, OEM truck supply, autonomy and ODD readiness, lane and site activation, Mission Control, operations readiness and Account Management launches to dates.
- Maintain an honest view of the critical path, slips, risks and decisions needed, surfaced early and framed for the people who must decide.
- Lead the execution of key company milestones involving multiple departments.
- Run the weekly cross-functional Truck Program meeting and help establish repeatable frameworks, procedures and decision loops.
- Produce executive-ready updates and program artifacts, communicating clearly with technical, operational, commercial and executive audiences.
Required profile
- 7+ years in program or product leadership in a complex technical and operational environment (autonomous vehicles, automotive, aerospace, robotics, aviation, defense, logistics or similar).
- Track record of integrating programs across teams you did not control, in a business with hardware, software, safety and operations in the loop.
- Technical fluency to judge why an autonomy or hardware milestone slipped and whether the recovery plan is credible.
- Executive-grade verbal and written communication, able to tell senior people hard truths early with options.
- Ability to set direction for a program others execute, with no direct reports, and be accountable for the outcome.
Nice to have
- Experience running a weekly holistic program review.
- Experience taking a physical product from pilot to commercial deployment with real readiness gates and launch dates.
- Experience with OEM or supplier delivery schedules as a dependency in a commercial plan.
- Zero-to-one program experience at an early-stage or scaling company.
- Direct experience in autonomous trucking, freight or AV commercialization, and work with operations and/or commercial teams.
What we offer
- US yearly salary range of $140,000 - $180,000 USD, plus competitive perks and benefits.
- Additional compensation including equity incentive awards and an annual performance bonus.
