Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

The Warehouse Supervisor assists the DC Manager in maintaining all aspects of daily warehouse operations, monitoring productivity and cost controls and recommending improvements. The position covers mid-shift, Monday through Friday, 9:30am to 6:00pm, and involves supervising about 15 warehouse associates. The salary range is $70,000 - $85,000 per year.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high visibility and floor supervision to ensure production, accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Mentor and train about 15 warehouse associates, conduct performance reviews, discipline and training.
• Analyze daily workload in the WMS and prepare and review monthly production reports.
• Direct distribution staff on receiving, inventory integrity, picking and shipping, and guide the Shipping Clerk so WMS assignments follow shipping standards.
• Ensure compliance with goals and objectives through daily cut-off times and turn and fulfillment rates.
• Provide ongoing training on product knowledge, error tracking and review, and performance of past work periods.
• Maintain communication with management, staff and customers, and report problems and concerns to the manager promptly.
• Conduct a daily end-of-shift sweep of WMS paperwork and the shipping dock.

Required profile

• Minimum of five years of distribution warehouse experience.
• Ability to manage productivity through staff and operational situations and provide coaching in a safe work environment.

Required skills

• Intermediate computer experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
