Senior Procurement Services Specialist

About the role

The Senior Procurement Services Specialist reports to the Procurement Manager and leads special projects while handling purchase transactions such as requisitions, purchase orders, and match exceptions. The role also supports capital equipment acquisition and bid management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage capital equipment acquisition, tracking contracts and lease agreements.
• Conduct, execute, and complete bid processes, including stakeholder meetings and bid documentation.
• Process procurement transactions, including requisitions, purchase orders, and match exceptions.
• Mentor intermediate and associate procurement specialists and ensure compliance with state and university policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in public administration, business, accounting or related field with at least three years of procurement experience (or high school diploma/GED with seven years).
• Strong verbal communication, filing, and light lifting abilities; ability to work on a computer 6‑8 hours per day.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Experience with Workday and Adobe forms.
• Knowledge of Arkansas state purchasing rules, RFPs, IFBs, RFQs, and RFIs.
