Senior Pricing Manager

About the role

Amentum, a global engineering and technology solutions provider, is hiring a Senior Pricing Manager. The role directs the administration and strategic planning, analysis, spreadsheet development, budget analysis and proposal development of the corporate pricing organization. It is a remote position; candidates local to an Amentum HQ facility (Chantilly, VA or Fort Worth, TX) or able to travel are preferred, and US citizenship is required.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee cost proposal development and pricing strategies for major and strategic proposals
• Ensure compliance with the estimating system manual and other policies and procedures
• Manage daily work assignments, develop project schedules, budgets and plans, and manage personnel, finances and facilities to achieve proposal objectives
• Develop and implement new business capture and proposal strategies, and execute business and proposal development objectives within budget
• Maintain strong working relationships with Program/Project Managers and upper management
• Take on proposal efforts and perform at the highest pricing analyst level

Required profile

• Typically 12 years' experience in cost proposal preparation or development; 8 years with a Master's or Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline; 2 years in contracts or pricing may substitute for each of 4 years of college
• 5 years in a management position preferred
• Experience in base operations support, range operations, Space Force or NASA contracts
• Ability to work extended hours with short notice and to handle multiple deadlines

Required skills

• Comprehensive understanding of proposal development, contract cost and pricing principles, and FAR, DFAR and CAS
• Working knowledge of the U.S. government structure, agency acquisition procedures, basis of estimates and bills of materials
• Advanced Excel and mathematical skills
• Demonstrated AI fluency: using AI tools to automate repetitive tasks, evaluate emerging AI-enabled tools and integrate them into workflows
