Senior Pharmacy Benefits Consultant

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Senior Pharmacy Benefits Consultant to join its Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) team within the People and Investments business. The role sits in the Managed Pharmacy practice and acts as the lead strategic pharmacy advisor for a group of select mid-market and national accounts. It is based in one of the Marsh offices in Chicago with a hybrid arrangement of at least three days per week in the office or at a client site.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design review, contract renewal, business placement and benchmarking for key accounts
• Identify provider performance gaps and recommend actions to control spend and trends
• Upsell Marsh pharmacy solutions and use Marsh's reputation to negotiate competitive PBM contracts
• Lead regional and national marketing pursuits and delegate to give team members developmental opportunities
• Mentor and coach project team members and manage internal resources such as the pricing team, clinical resources and H&B consultants to deliver client outputs
• Help the practice develop new solutions based on marketplace changes and handle quick deadlines and multiple projects

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science degree
• 8+ years of consulting or other relevant experience in the pharmacy managed care industry
• Strong client-facing experience
• An MBA or PharmaD is highly valued

What we offer

• Base salary range of $151,000 to $302,500, depending on experience, skills, location and other factors
