Senior Payroll Tax Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Payroll Tax Specialist to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The role will work closely with the Payroll Manager to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with federal, state and local tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and maintain Workday Payroll Tax configurations for each legal entity and jurisdiction.
• Identify and resolve issues in payroll tax set‑up, collaborating with Alight Tax Filing Services and HRIT.
• Research, investigate and address payroll tax notices for multi‑state tax entities.
• Supervise regular, special and supplemental payroll runs, ensuring adherence to standards and procedures.
• Escalate and resolve payroll tax problems, delays or inaccuracies promptly.

Required profile

• University degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of payroll tax experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work in concert with payroll leadership and cross‑functional teams.
