Senior Oncology Specialist - TOPAZ

About the role

Amgen is hiring a Senior Oncology Specialist for the TOPAZ territory covering Albany, Saratoga, Glens Falls, Middletown, Poughkeepsie and Springfield, NY. The specialist acts as the primary customer contact, giving medical professionals clinical knowledge of Amgen's oncology products and communicating their clinical and economic benefits. Relocation is not offered.

Key responsibilities

• Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, including branded sales messages, planned programs and follow-up on medical education events.
• Service and manage accounts, ensure product access, resolve or triage reimbursement issues and maintain product contracts.
• Analyze the effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance, and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
• Craft an effective marketing strategy to drive sales and build the brand.
• Share best practices with colleagues and stay up to date on industry, regulatory and competitive changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales and/or clinical experience in a healthcare or scientific field, or an associate degree with 6 years, or a high school diploma/GED with 8 years.
• Preferred: oncology experience, 3+ years of sales/marketing in pharma, biotech, healthcare or medical devices, product/hospital sales in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology and inflammation, local market knowledge, and a bachelor's in Life Sciences or Business Administration.

• Expected annual salary of $140,465 to $190,041, depending on skills, experience and qualifications.
