Senior Network Administrator

About the role

MANTECH, a partner to the Department of Defense since 1968, is looking for a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Network Administrator to join its Walla Walla, Washington team. The role provides integrated enterprise IT support services, supporting the client's vision of engineering solutions for national challenges. The position is full-time and on-site.

Key responsibilities

• Build, support, administer and optimize the network and its associated hardware and software.
• Deploy and troubleshoot small-scale to medium network deployments and run routine tests to ensure network operability.
• Troubleshoot intermediary network problems and escalate large-scale issues appropriately.
• Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, the Internet and intranet systems.
• Install, configure, manage and maintain network infrastructure devices and related hardware and software.
• Monitor the network to maintain its integrity and operability.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field; an Associate degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years, is also acceptable.
• 2-5 years of experience in network administration for Windows, Linux or VMware environments.
• Current/active Secret clearance and US citizenship.
• Ability to stay seated 50% of the time and occasionally move around the office.

Required skills

• Experience with router and switch configuration.
• Knowledge of LANs, WANs, wireless networking, routers, switches, load balancers, WAN optimizers and cabling standards.
• Solid troubleshooting of network connectivity (LAN, WAN).
• CompTIA Network+ and/or CCNA certification and a CompTIA Security+ certification.
• 8140 IAT Level II certification.
• Preferred: familiarity with the USACE IT environment, regulatory requirements and data security best practices.

• Projected compensation range of $116,400 to $194,900, depending on experience, skills, location and contract wage determination.
