Senior .NET Engineer - Real Time Product Engineering

About the role

LSEG is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Senior .NET Engineer) to join its St. Louis engineering team, working within the Tools Team. The role supports the tools and utilities that let internal teams deliver high-quality software, and involves close work with internal developers, business analysts and quality engineers. It suits someone who enjoys solving substantial problems, supporting other teams and learning in an empowered environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and improve tools that help internal teams work more effectively.
• Collaborate with colleagues who have different priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Participate in and lead code reviews to support consistent engineering standards.
• Help advance LSEG's progress toward full DevOps adoption.
• Develop scalable, future-focused solutions in partnership with the architecture team.
• Work across multiple computer stacks and technologies, and develop a strong understanding of the financial domain to support partner teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with multiple programming languages (e.g. C#, C++) and validated knowledge of data structures, algorithms and design patterns.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git, DX1).
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum and DevOps practices.
• Preferred: scripting languages such as Python or Perl, familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), automated testing frameworks, and experience integrating AI tools such as Copilot into development workflows.
