Senior Master Data Management Engineer

About the role

Hike2 is seeking a Senior Master Data Management Engineer to design and implement identity‑resolution and relationship‑graph solutions for financial‑services clients. You will own the end‑to‑end MDM architecture, from data modeling through integration, data quality, and governance, and mentor a small engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and build resolved identity and relationship foundations, including match/merge logic, survivorship rules, and golden‑record management.
• Design and implement inbound/outbound integration pipelines on a modern Azure data stack, using medallion/lakehouse patterns.
• Develop and maintain a property‑graph store (Neo4j or Cosmos DB) to support multi‑hop queries such as UBO chains.
• Establish data‑quality baselines, steward workflows, and issue queues, and collaborate with governance, CRM, and source‑system owners.
• Document repeatable delivery approaches, set engineering standards, and provide technical mentorship.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of enterprise data engineering and architecture experience, with production MDM implementations.
• Strong background in financial services, including knowledge of KYC, AML, and regulatory audit requirements.
• Proven ability to translate complex MDM concepts for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience leading or mentoring a small engineering team in a client‑facing environment.

Required skills

• SQL and Python programming.
• Java or .Net for extending MDM platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise MDM solutions (Informatica MDM, Reltio, Semarchy, Ataccama, Profisee).
• Graph databases such as Neo4j (Cypher) or Azure Cosmos DB (Gremlin).
• Azure cloud services and medallion/lakehouse data architecture.
• Data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Ab Initio) and workflow automation.
