Senior Manager, Sourcing Endoscopy Business Unit (Hybrid)

About the role

Stryker is hiring a Senior Manager, Sourcing (Hybrid) to lead assigned sourcing areas and supplier performance initiatives supporting the Endoscopy Business Unit NPI Team in San Jose, CA. The role works in a highly matrixed global environment, partnering with R&D, operations, quality and finance to drive supplier capabilities, support new product development and deliver business results through supplier alignment, cost management and performance optimization. It also manages the onsite sourcing team for the Flower Mound, TX communications business units.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing analysis and selection, perform cost and make vs buy analyses, and advise others on selection and cost analysis
• Develop and implement processes to build a strategic sourcing organization, and lead cross-functional teams in creating commodity plans, consolidation strategies and spend/supply assessments
• Negotiate, establish, monitor and enforce supplier contracts, including supply and quality agreements (QAA)
• Build partnerships with key suppliers and with senior executives at strategic suppliers
• Identify supply base risks and develop mitigation plans covering market, financial, social responsibility, environmental and ethical issues
• Track market conditions and technology trends, and use them to set cost controls and business strategy changes
• Collaborate across functions, divisions and campuses to build supplier scorecards and business reviews, and lead those reviews

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in supply management, business, finance, engineering or a related field
• 10 years in supply management focused on strategic sourcing, procurement and supplier development, preferably in medical devices or other highly regulated environments
• Strong knowledge of supplier processes and supply chain risk, including assessing and mitigating risk
• Strong negotiation skills for commercial contracts, including QAA
• Experience with supplier metrics and measurement methodologies
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, results-based environment with minimal supervision
• 20-30% travel, including international

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree
• Lean Six Sigma certification
• Experience in regulated industries such as government, medical technology and pharmaceuticals
• Experience leading NPD and sustaining procurement strategies

Salary range: $176,300 - $293,700 USD per year.
