Senior Manager Product Management

About the role

The Product Management Sr. Manager at The Home Depot guides and executes the delivery of business value to drive sales, improve efficiency and improve customer satisfaction through quality products. The role works closely with developers, designers and business partners, leads senior-level Product Managers and drives change management and process improvement. It is located in the Store Support Center and typically involves 5% to 20% overnight travel.

Key responsibilities

• Strategy and planning (40%): set the product vision and strategy, define goals, metrics and analytics, prioritize product updates, allocate funding, contribute to technology roadmaps and nurture strategic vendor relationships.
• Delivery and execution (30%): review product team performance, validate quality and change control, resolve delivery blockers, prioritize requests and analyze product metrics to inform decisions.
• People (30%): mentor and coach Product Managers, run annual and mid-year reviews, foster collaboration with Engineering and UX teams, and guide junior members.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Preferred: 6-8 years of relevant experience, including leading Product Managers and overseeing multiple products.

Required skills

• Product management in a modern software development environment, including Agile and XP practices such as paired programming, test-driven development and continuous deployment.
• User story creation, prioritization and acceptance, and user research and testing.
• Goal, metric and analytics identification, competitive research and analysis.
• Communication with functional and technical teams at all levels.
