Senior Manager, People Operations

About the role

The Senior Manager of People Operations & Systems will partner with the Senior Director of People Operations to strengthen KIPP Foundation’s talent infrastructure. This role ensures that compensation, benefits, policies, and employee experience processes are delivered with clarity, consistency, and care, supporting leaders and staff to thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain compensation and benefits frameworks aligned with organizational goals.
• Develop and enforce HR policies that promote equity, compliance, and a positive employee experience.
• Lead the continuous improvement of People Operations systems, including HRIS, payroll, and performance tools.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate data into actionable insights for talent decisions.
• Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations, onboarding, and offboarding processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive experience in HR operations, compensation, or benefits management.
• Proven ability to lead complex HR projects in a fast‑moving, mission‑driven environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of compensation structures and benefits administration.
• Experience with HR information systems (HRIS) and payroll platforms.
• Understanding of employment law and compliance requirements.
