Senior Maintenance Technician (Roving) – Oregon

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to travel across its Oregon portfolio, ensuring all properties meet the company’s high standards for safety, appearance, and functionality. The role combines hands‑on repairs, preventative maintenance, and coordination of make‑ready activities for vacant units.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing defects and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Manage the make‑ready process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor scheduling, supply procurement, and final quality checks.
• Track and replenish maintenance inventory, returning unused items and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintain common areas and grounds by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and performing general cleaning and painting as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Proven experience in building maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage vendor relationships.
• Strong knowledge of safety and risk‑management procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
