Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer (Bare Metal, Storage & AI Factory)

About the role

A highly experienced Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer is sought in Las Vegas, Nevada, to design, deploy, operate and troubleshoot large-scale Linux-based infrastructure powering both traditional enterprise workloads and modern AI/ML environments. The role focuses on bare metal, enterprise storage and AI Factory / GPU infrastructure, and is not DevOps-focused since a dedicated DevOps team already exists.

Key responsibilities

• Bare metal infrastructure: Linux administration, server deployment, provisioning, lifecycle management and hardware diagnostics
• AI Factory and GPU infrastructure: deploying GPU-accelerated infrastructure, GPU provisioning, monitoring and performance optimization, and supporting GPU clusters and HPC workloads
• Enterprise storage: Linux storage administration (LVM, XFS, EXT4, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel SAN, Multipath I/O) and strong hands-on experience with Ceph, plus high-performance AI storage platforms such as WEKA, VAST Data, Dell PowerScale, Pure Storage FlashBlade and NetApp
• Networking: bonding, VLANs, routing, MTU optimization, DNS, DHCP, 100G/200G/400G Ethernet, RoCE, RDMA and spine-leaf architectures
• Operations and reliability: high availability, clustering, disaster recovery, runbooks, incident and capacity management, and business continuity planning for AI workloads

Required profile

• Years of experience designing, building and operating enterprise Linux environments, bare metal infrastructure, storage platforms and AI Factory environments
• Expert-level Linux administration (Ubuntu required; Red Hat and SUSE preferred)
• Experience with BMaaS platforms, GPU clusters, HPC and large-scale Linux deployments
• Not a CI/CD, Terraform/GitOps or cloud-only administrator; DevOps experience is a plus
