Senior Liability Trial Attorney (Hybrid) – Dallas

About the role

Zurich Insurance is seeking a Senior Liability Trial Attorney to join its Staff Legal team in the Dallas area. The attorney will represent commercial insureds in high‑complexity General Liability and Commercial Auto personal injury cases.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial investigations, legal analysis, and provide advice to insureds.
• Prepare and file pleadings, conduct pre‑trial discovery, and manage hearings and trials.
• Handle post‑trial activities, including appeals and settlements.
• Work independently and collaborate with remote teams using video conferencing and task‑management tools.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor with at least 7 years of litigation experience.
• Active member in good standing of the Texas State Bar.
• Demonstrated trial and negotiation skills, including first‑chair jury trial experience.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, with strong analytical and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe.
• Experience using Lexis or Westlaw for legal research.
• Knowledge of insurance industry claims and defense litigation.
