Senior Java Developer - Java J2EE, Cursor AI

About the role

Accellor, an AI-native services firm focused on AI, data and engineering solutions for healthcare, life sciences, telecom, retail, financial services and technology, is looking for a Senior Java Developer with proven experience using Cursor AI. Working remotely, you will collaborate with staff and senior engineers to build and improve systems, define a technical roadmap and lead the strategy and execution of it.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and thought leadership across several areas of the enterprise
• Collaborate with product managers, team members, customers and other engineering teams to solve complex problems
• Develop and execute technical software development strategy for various domains
• Own the quality, usability and performance of the solutions
• Mentor engineers and product people, influence executives and share best practices
• Analyze costs and forecasts, determine resource needs and support continuous learning

Required profile

• 12+ years of professional software development experience in a Java framework (Spring)
• 8+ years in architecture and design, 6+ years in open-source frameworks, 4+ years with AWS, GCP, Azure or another cloud
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
• Experience partnering with engineering teams, continuous delivery and infrastructure as code
• Track record of publications in credible conferences and journals
• Fluency in at least two modern languages such as Java, C++, Python or C#, including object-oriented design
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs, DevOps concepts, cloud architecture and Azure DevOps
• Experience with PowerShell scripting, Azure Portal, application monitoring, security protocols (Active Directory, SAML, OAuth) and Azure networking
