Senior iOS Software Engineer – AI Platform

About the role

TWG Global is seeking a Senior iOS Software Engineer to lead the native mobile experience for its agentic AI platform. You will own end‑to‑end development, from architecture and UI to networking, on‑device machine learning, and release management, collaborating closely with backend and AI teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build the iOS application using Swift and SwiftUI, establishing scalable UI, state‑management, and data‑flow patterns.
• Integrate with backend AI agent services, handling streaming responses, tool‑call results, and multi‑step workflow state.
• Implement push notifications (APNs), background refresh, and local persistence to enable real‑time agent interactions.
• Own the full App Store release process: builds, certificates, provisioning, TestFlight distribution, and production launches.
• Develop robust networking layers for authenticated API calls, streaming, retries, and offline resilience.
• Explore and embed on‑device ML capabilities such as CoreML models, NLContextualEmbedding, and audio pipelines (Whisper, TTS) to enhance user experience.
• Drive code quality through unit tests, UI tests, and thorough code reviews.
• Partner with product and design to deliver polished, accessible UI that meets consumer‑app standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and raise engineering standards across the mobile codebase.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional iOS development experience with Swift, including shipped apps in the App Store.
• Deep expertise in SwiftUI and UIKit with strong opinions on their appropriate use.
• Proven experience with APNs, background tasks, and App Store release management (TestFlight, certificates, provisioning).
• Hands‑on experience building networking layers that handle authentication, streaming, and offline scenarios.
• Experience integrating on‑device machine‑learning models (CoreML, audio pipelines) into production apps.
• Track record of mentoring engineers and championing high engineering standards.
