Senior HR Generalist

About the role

The Senior HR Generalist partners with the Human Resources Manager to deliver advanced HR support across employee relations, performance management, and strategic initiatives. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, driving process improvements and ensuring a positive workplace experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the HR Manager with day‑to‑day employee relations, providing guidance, coaching, and performance counseling.
• Conduct investigations into employee relations issues and facilitate resolution meetings.
• Support onboarding, including new‑hire orientation and follow‑up surveys.
• Lead and coordinate HR projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
• Mentor and train HR specialists or generalists to develop their expertise.
• Track and analyze HR metrics to identify risks and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate on employee retention strategies to reduce turnover and boost engagement.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or senior generalist capacity.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• HR certifications such as PHR or SHRM‑CP are a plus.
