Senior Health Information Management Coordinator (Part-Time)

About the role

This part‑time senior position supports the Health Information Management (HIM) department by processing medical records, ensuring data accuracy and patient confidentiality, and collaborating with providers, patients, and other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Process medical records and documentation while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
• Review and respond to incoming requests, resolve related issues, and compile logs, reports, and statistics.
• Communicate with providers, other departments, patients, and management to support HIM functions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; four years of relevant experience (education may substitute for experience).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of medical record documents and HIM concepts, practices, and procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and various software packages specific to the role.
• Computer and keyboard dexterity for data entry and information retrieval.
• Knowledge of commonly used mainframe systems within a Health Information Management setting.
