Senior Fullstack Software Engineer

About the role

Read AI is looking for a senior full‑stack engineer to lead technical roadmap, architect scalable systems, and mentor junior talent while building AI‑driven collaboration tools.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of complex, scalable web applications and distributed systems.
• Set and maintain high code quality standards through reviews, automated testing, and documentation.
• Own end‑to‑end product areas from discovery through deployment and post‑launch optimization.
• Partner with Product and Design to ensure technical feasibility and long‑term scalability.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in backend, database, and frontend rendering.
• Mentor mid‑level and junior engineers and drive a culture of continuous learning.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, observability, and infrastructure‑as‑code to boost developer velocity.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building production‑grade fullstack applications.
• Expert‑level knowledge of React and TypeScript, including state management and performance profiling.
• Proven experience designing high‑throughput RESTful/GraphQL APIs and microservices using Node.js, Java, or Python.
• Strong background with AWS (or similar cloud) and both SQL and NoSQL database design/optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to design resilient, observable distributed systems.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
