Senior Full‑Stack Developer – Renewable Energy Tracking

About the role

WECC is looking for a Senior Developer to join the WREGIS team, which builds a web‑based tracking system for renewable energy certificates across the western United States. You will work hands‑on from concept through delivery, shaping technical direction while collaborating with business and engineering partners.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, logical, high‑quality TypeScript code for both frontend and backend components.
• Participate in Agile development cycles, applying test‑driven development and automated testing.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to plan, develop, document, and support custom in‑house software.
• Contribute to unit and regression testing, ensuring reliable releases.
• Maintain and extend cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Identify, communicate, and escalate technical risks to management.
• Travel up to 20% during the first 12‑20 months and 5‑15% thereafter.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum four years of professional software development experience.
• Proven ability to work productively with internal teams and strategic partners.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and adherence to organizational protocols.

Required skills

• Full‑stack web development with TypeScript monorepo architectures.
• Experience with automated testing, test‑driven development, and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of event sourcing and Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS) – strongly preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with code review, pair programming, and knowledge‑sharing practices.
