Senior Financial Planner

About the role

Farther is a rapidly growing registered investment advisor combining expert advisors with technology, offering a tailored wealth management experience. As a Senior Financial Planner on the Financial Planning team, you will support financial advisors and enhance the client experience through detailed financial planning support and analysis, working at the intersection of client service and technical planning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and maintain comprehensive and complex financial plans for mass affluent, high net worth and ultra high net worth clients on behalf of senior advisors.
• Prepare goals-based Monte Carlo analyses for cash flow projections, retirement scenarios and risk assessments.
• Create and maintain client financial planning documentation and reports systematically.
• Gather and analyze financial data so advisors can prepare for client meetings.
• Identify ways to improve planning processes and client experience using the firm's technology platform.
• Keep detailed records of client interactions and planning decisions, and stay current with financial planning software.
• Build awareness of the planning team among advisors through regular meetings with new advisors.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.
• CFP certification.
• 7-10 years of experience in financial services delivering financial plans to end clients.
• Deep knowledge of equity compensation, advanced tax strategies and coordination of complex Social Security and Medicare strategies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects accurately and on time, with strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with financial planning software such as Right Capital, eMoney or MoneyGuidePro.
• Bonus: Series 65 license or ability to obtain it within 90 days.
• Bonus: experience developing technology to assist with financial planning.
