Client Transitions Associate

About the role

Farther is a rapidly growing RIA combining expert advisors with technology to deliver a tailored wealth management experience. As a Client Transition Operations Associate, you will help execute its advisor and client transition process, supporting the seamless migration of clients by managing operational workflows and ensuring accurate execution of financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute the end-to-end client transition process, including processing and validating new account opening documentation, account transfers (ACATs and non-ACATs) and complex asset movements.
• Coordinate with external partners such as custodians and third-party vendors to complete transition activities on time.
• Monitor and maintain a detailed transition pipeline, tracking progress, flagging risks and reporting status to internal stakeholders and clients.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients during the transition, communicating documentation requirements clearly.
• Resolve documentation discrepancies, troubleshoot transfer issues and reconcile custodian data to keep data integrity across systems.
• Handle multiple client transitions and priorities simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Required profile

• Background in client service, particularly advisor transitions or conversion management.
• Knowledge of financial products including SMAs, 529s, annuities, 401(k)s and alternative investments.
• Experience with standard wealth management client service operations with custodians such as Charles Schwab, Fidelity and Pershing.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and a client-first mindset.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing tasks.
