Senior Finance Manager

About the role

Carlsmed is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead finance and accounting for its supply chain and production operations. The role will shape cost accounting strategy, drive inventory management, and provide performance insights for a fast‑growing MedTech business.

Key responsibilities

• Own full‑cycle cost accounting, develop and maintain standard costing for purchased and manufactured components.
• Co‑lead NetSuite ERP inventory and cost accounting implementation and system upgrades.
• Produce timely reports and operational KPIs to support performance analytics and actionable recommendations.
• Identify cost‑optimization, process‑improvement, and efficiency opportunities.
• Support annual operating plans, forecasts, and strategic planning for manufacturing, inventory, and COGS.
• Manage inventory tracking across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Monitor manufacturing variances such as capacity utilization, labor efficiency, and scrap trends.
• Serve as primary liaison between Operations and Accounting for cost and inventory matters, ensuring U.S. GAAP compliance.
• Co‑lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to inventory and COGS, supporting audits and internal controls.
• Assist with special projects as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, CMA or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years progressive experience in cost accounting, operational finance or plant controllership, preferably in medical‑device or highly regulated manufacturing.
• Hands‑on experience with inventory accounting, standard costing and variance analysis.
• Experience with outsourced manufacturing models.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, QAD or similar.
