About the role

Join Withum’s Audit team as part of the November 2027 class. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in financial statement audits, internal control evaluations, and client engagements across diverse industries.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze client accounting records and financial statements.
• Evaluate internal control systems, audit risk, materiality, and GAAS compliance.
• Prepare detailed workpapers to support audit procedures.
• Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures on financial data.
• Contribute to larger audit engagements and take ownership of smaller ones as skills develop.
• Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify audit issues.
• Utilize audit software and data‑analytics tools to improve audit quality and efficiency.
• Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• 150 credit hours and prior internship experience with a public accounting firm preferred.
• Detail‑oriented, strong critical‑thinking abilities, and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Willingness to work onsite at one of Withum’s office locations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with audit software (e.g., case management tools).
• Familiarity with data‑analytics tools for audit testing.
